Pasta with green broccoli sauce and chicken
Cooked broccoli turns into a creamy green sauce, blended with a little cheese and olive oil. With short pasta and little pieces of chicken, it is a family dish your child can eat with their hands or a little fork, and an easy way to eat vegetables without noticing.

Ingredients
- 1 cup short pasta (rotini or penne)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 small chicken breast (about 3½ oz / 100 g), diced small
- 2 tbsp crumbled queso fresco (or fresh farmer's cheese)
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp olive oil
How to make
- 1Cook the broccoli in unsalted water for about 8 minutes, until soft. Save the water.
- 2Cook the pasta in that same water, no salt, until very soft.
- 3Meanwhile, sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil, add the chicken and brown it until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
- 4Blend the broccoli, the cheese and ½ cup of the cooking water until creamy.
- 5Mix the green sauce, the chicken and the drained pasta in the pot and serve warm.
Tips
- Texture (12 to 24 months): well-cooked pasta and chicken in pea-sized pieces.
- The family eats together: set aside your child's portion first and only then add salt to the rest.
- Storage: 2 days in the fridge or 30 days in the freezer. Add water when reheating.
