A no-cook dessert, ready in 5 minutes: ripe melon and banana mashed together with a fork. The melon is juicy and the banana makes the mash thicker, easy to pick up with a spoon.

Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp very ripe honeydew melon, peeled and seeded (about 1¾ oz / 50 g)
- ½ ripe banana
How to make
- 1Wash the melon rind with water and a sponge before cutting. Cut a slice, then remove the seeds and the rind.
- 2On a small plate, mash the melon and banana with a fork into a thick mash with soft little lumps.
- 3Serve right away, on a spoon, or let your baby pick it up by hand.
Tips
- Texture (6 months): fork-mashed, never in the blender. If it gets watery, add more banana.
- Ripe melon: it smells sweet and gives a little when you press the end. An unripe melon is hard and tasteless.
- Washed rind: the knife goes through the rind and carries dirt into the flesh. That's why you wash it first.
- No sugar: ripe fruit is already sweet. Don't add sugar, honey or condensed milk.
- Storage: make it fresh. Keep the rest of the melon covered in the fridge for up to 2 days.
